When I’m not wiring code, I’m probably tweaking dotfiles, distro-hopping, bricking my mobile or playing games. I enjoy self-hosting, doing things myself and I spend time fixing them too. This is where I write about things I might need later or just things I found interesting. Having interest is an interesting thing.

I started writing here before I began my career, so if you enjoy reading, I’ve shared how I ended up creating this blog.

Many things on the internet were new to me, and I didn’t have a mobile phone or computer until Grade 10. During the vacation after completing Grade 10, I got my first phone – a Nokia Asha 309. It was a touchscreen phone, and at that time, touchscreen phones were just starting to become popular.

The internet was fascinating, and I quickly got hooked. I played lots of games, tried countless apps – all downloaded from the internet. I even got free internet for almost a year just by tweaking a few settings. It all felt like magic, made possible by the internet and Google.

Eventually, I wanted my own website. I started learning HTML and CSS, created couple of pages, and uploaded them using FTP to a free HTML hosting service. These services were basic WAP site builders, which no longer exist today.

Later, I looked for easier ways to build websites and discovered PHP scripts that had login dashboards and content management features. They were powerful but a pain to set up. After more Googling, I found WordPress.

Google became my virtual friend. I realized that before asking for help in a forum or group, trying to Google the problem was usually the better option – as long as you know how to search.

From there, I didn’t just learn HTML and CSS, but also PHP, MySQL, and how to work with web servers. After installing WordPress, I was amazed. It was beautiful, well-structured, and all I had to do was write articles.

Later, when I joined college to study Computer Science, I continued writing and experimenting with new ideas. Over time, I dove deeper into development, explored new tools, and kept learning through every project.

And that’s how this blog – and my journey into tech – began.
