Yes mobile data is still expensive in Nepal. You can use ADLS for WiFi which is cheaper than mobile data (300 for 16 GB) or you can buy unlimited plan.

Thanks for your replay but WiFi and mobile data are totally different. WiFi is independent of sim card and you can use WiFi with sim card.

Thanks for you suggestion. It’s true that data packs in NTC sim card is higher. You can use various data pack scheme such as night pack, day pack or facebook pack to surf at low rate. But I am not from Nepal Telecom and can’t help in these cases.

Sorry, we can’t deactivate gprs in NTC. It is pre-activated in all sim card.
what is the difference in the service of GSM prepaid sim and CDMA sim in regards to the call and data pack service?
As I know, CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) and GSM (Global System for Mobiles) are shorthand for the two major radio systems used in cell phones but GMS has evolved faster than CDMA. In nepal UTL and NT are providing CDMA service as UTL and Sky sim card respectively. Since GSM has evolved faster it provides many features than that of CDMA and has faster internet speed but GSM may be expensive for data transfer and voice call, whereas CDMA provides clear voice call with wide network coverage.
